Barista Initiation

This class is designed for beginners and serves as the foundation for all our courses.

Class components (9am-1pm):

  1. Introduction to commercial espresso machines and grinders.
  2. Extracting Espresso shots.
  3. Milk steaming, texturing, pouring techniques and layering fundamentals.
  4. Learn to make popular Australian Cafe Menu drinks including flat white, cappuccino, latte, piccolo, mocha, macchiato etc.
  5. Unlimited Hands-on Practice with milk and coffee provided
  6. Cleaning, caring and maintaining a coffee machine.
  7. Barista certificate of attendance issued by The Gold Coast Coffee School.

Latte art Level 1

  • Duration                       2 hours
  • Date                               Wed/Sat 2-4pm 
  • Cost Per Person          $90

Recommended Prerequisite: Completed Barista Foundation or equivalent experience.

This course is designed for students who already understand basic espresso extraction and milk steaming.

Class components:

  1. Introduction to latte art fundamentals.
  2. Milk layering and free pour milk techniques.
  3. Learn three foundational latte art patterns: Heart (main focus), Tulip and Layered Heart.
  4. Unlimited hands-on latte art practice with milk and coffee provided

Beginner Fundamental Package

  • Duration                                    7 hours
  • Date                                          Wed/Sat 9am-4pm
  • Package Price                       $205 ( Save $40 )

No prior coffee experience required.

What’s Included:

  • Barista Initiation: Choose a Wednesday or Saturday class ( 9am-1pm )
  • Latte Art Level 1: Same day with Barista Initiation Wednesday or Saturday  ( 2pm-4pm )

Private One-on-One Beginner Package

Ideal for students wanting personalised training and faster progress.

Your ‘preferred date’ may not be available. Our staff will inform you of available dates for your chosen course(s) that are close to your ‘preferred date’.

Re-booking Fees

Course dates changed within 72 hours of a class – $15 pp

Course dates changed within 48 hours of a class – $50 pp

Cancellations & Refunds

Please allow a minimum of 72 hours’ prior to course commencement to transfer or cancel your course attendance, or you will forfeit your full course and booking fee. Thank you!!

If you wish to transfer to another course or cancel your booking, you must contact us via email [email protected] or call 07 5532 7836  more than 48 hours’ prior to course commencement, for a course refund (please note you will forfeit the $15 booking fee!!)

Attendance & Lateness

Anyone that fails to show to a booked date (regardless of reason) is considered a NO SHOW – No refunds applies.
